Key terms and concepts in TreehouseHQ.

Hideout NFT

The NFT that creates and controls an NFT Space. One Hideout equals one workspace with full team features.

Workspace

Your top-level container for collaboration. Contains branches (projects), tasks, proposals, and announcements. Can be a Personal Space (free) or an NFT Space (Hideout).

Personal Space

A free workspace for individual use. Owner only, 1 branch, no token gating. Perfect for trying TreehouseHQ.

NFT Space

A workspace tied to a Hideout NFT. Team collaboration (up to 5 admins), unlimited branches, full token gating, and transferable ownership.

Branch

A project within a workspace. Each branch has its own tasks, announcements, and settings. Personal Spaces get 1 branch; NFT Spaces get unlimited.

Access modes

How people enter a workspace: token-gated (NFT required), allowlist-only (specific wallets), or hybrid (NFT or allowlist).

Roles

Owner: Holds the Hideout (or created the Personal Space). Full control.
Admin: Manages settings and members.
Member: Accesses content and participates.

Gating rule

A rule that defines which NFT collection grants access to a workspace. Only available for NFT Spaces.

Allowlist

A list of wallet addresses that can access a workspace without holding NFTs.

Transfer

Moving workspace ownership to another wallet through a safe two-step process. The current owner initiates the transfer, and the recipient accepts to become the new owner.

Verified workspace

A workspace that has been manually verified as an official project or community. Shows a verification badge.
